I forgot how fun it was to have a sweet little baby. Brooklee is doing great. She loves to smile and coo for us. We all just love her so much. I thought some of these pictures were so stinking cute and funny. Enjoy.

Tandi's Birthday

It is hard to believe that out little girl is already FIVE years old. These are some pictures from the Princess Party she had. (Here's a shout out to Harmons grocery store for providing free balloons....). Tandi loved the cake, despite the fact that it needed an additional box of batter to fit the entire Cinderella in to the skirt. We love you Tandi. Happy Birthday.

I want to make sure that Brooklee has updated pictures for all to see. These are several taken by our wonderful friend Michelle Tandy. If anyone has a new address, please email it to us so we can send you an announcement. Other fun events: Tommy had his first day of preschool and he loves it! When I dropped him off today, he bolted inside; he didn't even look back. Tandi went back to preschool and she loves being a teachers pet. PS - 10 pats on my back for updating - Seriously!

This year Tommy Boy had a Pooh birthday party. It was really fun. We played 3 fun games: guess the number of gummy bears, musical bear (to the opening song of My Friends Tigger and Pooh; compliments of Brian), and pin the tail on Eorye. There was also, of course, ice cream, cake and cupcakes. We love you Tommy and hope you have a wonderful year!!

Oh Baby!

The word is out: We are pregnant again! I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I went to my first Dr visit at 12 weeks and the ultrasound was way more fascinating than it is at 10 weeks. The baby was moving all over the place and even did a 180 and turned its back on us. (when I say "us" I mean Tandi and I. Brian was out shopping for a new truck. That might be an indication on the amount of support I'll get this time around :)

Christmas

Ok, it's only the end of February and I am finally updating the blog. I am so sorry to all you who have been disappointed every time you have come to check up on us. Therefore, I have 3 new posts which I will keep short and sweet.

First, Christmas in Ohio was wonderful! It is so fun to get together with my family and I felt that we all kept our cool very well. Not too much stress but a lot of hot chocolate. The kids loved playing with their long lost cousins. We also got to visit Jasmine in the hospital. She went in at the beginning of October and just this week (Feb 25th) she came home!

California

We had the most fun last month while in California. First of all, we got a trailer that you pull behind the truck and decided to take it with us on our trip. We went to Sacramento (where Brian got pulled over for pulling the trailer in the third lane and for speeding; and yet he still didnt get a ticket). But we made it to visit Josh and Michelle and their sweet girls. It was so fun just to spend the weekend together. I also got to see my roommate from college, Chelsea and her wonderful family. Next stop was Yosemite National Park. It was so beautiful, I am so excited to go back again. Last, but not least was Disneyland. My other college roommate Masha met us there and we got to spend the day together with her two boys. It was such a great time of year to go because the lines were very short which made the full day adventure all the better.

This highly anticipated event final took place; Tandi turned 4! My Little Ponies was the theme to this party. Some of her favorite toys were the princess makeup from Daddy, the Pony Phone from Gma & pa Adams, all the pony sets from Gma & pa Myers, the cash from Gma & pa Ogzewalla, the apron from Aunt Carrie, and the Princess cards from Macie.

The Fall Colors

When we go up to the cabin, there is this cute wooden fence. For the past 2 years I have thought to myself, "someday I need to stop and take pictures there." Finally, today I took a few minutes and got some pictures of the spot. Tandi, again, had to take a picture and hers turned out the best I think.

We love the Fair

Though it is way over priced and sort of a magnet for bizarre people, we love going to the fair! The kids enjoyed playing farmers, seeing animals, and riding the rides. The tigers were pretty amazing to see. It just seemed to me, that the fence really wouldn't hold them back if they decided to make a little snack out of us.

Pre School

I can't believe my baby is in Pre School! I was nervous that she would get scared the first day, but she surprised me when she went right in and didn't care that I left. She gets to bring an item once a week for show-n-tell, go to the fire station, and bring home a different book each time. So Fun!

The music might need an explanation

Lake Time!

We might be the most lucky/spoiled people in the world. We get to go to the lake in Northern ID every summer, not just once but twice, eat at Cafe Chulos, Dock Side, go on the boat, tubes, wakeboard, run (or crawl in my case) with Ken straight up huge mountains, bike, watch the Olympics and eat monster cookies, ice cream and anything else that says "heart attack" on it! As Brian says to me about every other day, "Your life is so hard."

Not sure why, but Tandi loves to take pictures of the people and things in her life. She even knows how to operate the camera phone, which sometimes is very inconvenient as she has called people accidently. However, it's always good to take a look at things for your child's perspective.

A Few Updates

Wow! Now that summer is finally here, we have been running around and going non-stop. First of all, I updated the count down to Breaking Dawn. For some reason it had us waiting an extra month! Thank goodness that's cleared up!

On Memorial Day, we got to go on Thomas the Train, a huge highlight in the life of the kids. The Tandy and White families also came with us. It was just a little cold out that day, in case you were wondering.

Then, in June, the kids and I went to Ohio for a week. We visited my grandpa's farm (now belonging to my parents). I am so excited that they can have this type of place to visit and to learn from. Right now it's just fun wagon rides, but when they get older, they can experience real life farm work like I did. This includes feeding the animals, clearing rocks out of the fields, and bailing hay. I, myself learned something new as I used a riding lawn mower for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The entire family also helped my niece Crystal, participate in a local pageant and where she received a trophy.

Right after we got back, Tandi had her High School Musical dance recital. She was really cute and did a great job. Tommy is getting bigger by the minute and has to have yet another haircut, :( (last haircut was not a pleasant experience). We look forward to having more fun times to report on in the near future.

Disneyland!

I have to stay on my toes in this family. I never know when Brian will call me and ask me to do something for him, usually look up a phone number, run to the bank, find some important document that he left in the bathroom etc.... It does keep life exciting when he comes home and says, "Hey, lets go to California." My response, "Oh, ok when?" Brain, " Tomorrow." Me, "Oh, ok." We had an absolute blast. We loved meeting the Disney characters, going to the beach, and meeting Brian's mission families.

Moab

We went camping in Moab! It was so fun, a little cold, and a little scary as well. I didn't know that this entirely new world existed where people drive jeeps and 4-wheelers up steep mountains for fun!! At least we got to hang out with friends and go on some "safe" rides. The kids have been begging to go camping again ever since.

Zoo

The zoo is always so fun! I don't know why, but I don't think Brian will ever able to tear himself away from work to come join the fun. Tandi was most excited to see the elephants and just be with her cousins. Tommy loved it all, except for the diamond-back rattlesnake who slithered towards us, putting his tongue in and out. Kinda freaked him out.

Easter Fun!

Easter is tied with Christmas as my most favorite holiday. The true meaning, the wonderful gift of the Resurrection, is the most beautiful part. But just like Christmas, there are additional parts to be enjoyed. The tradition on my side of the family was to hide plastic Easter eggs filled with candy. There would always be a big egg with your name on it with a dollar bill in it. Brian's family tradition was to boil, decorate and find real eggs. We decided to combine the traditions by having an egg hunt with the real, decorated eggs, but we also included the big plastic eggs with the kids name on it. It was like they were already in Heaven.

The Picture Drama

After 2 sittings, about 4 tantrums (collectively speaking for both Tandi and Tommy), and 2 hours later, we finally got a few good pictures for Tom's 2 year. He has always been an angel for the camera before. However, this time he really didn't want to sit where he was told. And because he was more interested in looking at the flash than the camera, the first sitting was extremely limited as there were only 2 pictures where he was looking. The second sitting produced more "looking" pictures with that melt-the-heart smile, but it took about twice as long. The photographer even used Tandi in an airplane maneuver to get him to both look and smile. Great team work.

Then I asked, "What color is your shirt?" His response, "Blue!"

Finally a Blogger

We are so excited to finally be with the times and have a blog. I hope this will help us stay in touch with everyone. It's amazing how fast time is going with two kids! Just yesterday, Brian and I were newly weds living in a basement apartment.

The most recent event was Tommy's 2nd birthday. It was pretty low key but he thought it was great. (Isn't anything with cupcakes?) He is such a sweet boy but has definitely entered the world of terrible twos.
